Tim McGraw showed up to his concert in Raleigh, N.C. with a cast on his left foot, but didn't really explain the nature of his injury. As it turns out, he wasn't sure himself. McGraw tells CMT that a nagging pain turned into something much worse, until he finally listened to his wife.

"It hurt for a while," McGraw says, "and I kept running and kept working out and kept doing shows. And for a couple weeks, it just kept getting worse and worse, and it finally got to where I couldn't walk, and it was really swollen." Faith Hill finally convinced him to see a doctor, who diagnosed the broken foot and prescribed a walking boot and "rest." McGraw doesn't do "rest" very well, and says the foot hasn't healed much. "I think I'm not taking care of it as well as I should," he admits.

The singer isn't sure what triggered the injury. He's an avid runner, but fans also know McGraw as an active stage performer, and he admits jumping from the speakers could have caused a stress fracture, which just got worse over time. As Taste of Country reported earlier, no shows will be postponed or cancelled due to the injury. The Emotional Traffic Tour stops in Philadelphia and Boston this weekend.
