Trisha Yearwood was the talk of the 2013 ACMs when she showed off her slimmer figure in a gorgeous red dress. The 48-year-old country singer, Food Network star and wife of the iconic Garth Brooks has built up a brand new, unshakable confidence through dropping those pesky pounds.

Losing weight is never easy, but Yearwood was determined to shed her extra baggage, and ended up creating a diet that worked for her. "I designed my own plan that's low-fat, low-sugar 90 percent of the time," the singer tells People. Although she sticks with it most of the time, she's quick to admit that sometimes, you need to give yourself a little grace. "There's no way you never fall off the wagon," she says. It's nice to hear her keep an upbeat and healthy mindset about weight loss.

The singer's newfound confidence stems from losing two dress sizes, going down from a "tight size 14" to a slim size 10. She spills that along with eating right, she has a go-to workout: Zumba. "I fell in love with it!" she exclaims, adding that she boogies to the rhythm at least three times a week, burning lots of calories.

In the end, it's not about the lost pounds or dress sizes; it's about the confidence and satisfaction that's gained through working toward your goals. It's given Yearwood a whole new outlook on life, as she states, "I have a strength I never had before. I feel like I can do anything."
