No. 63: Blake Shelton, ‘God Gave Me You’ – Top 100 Country Love Songs

'God Gave Me You' enjoyed a three week run at No. 1 in late 2011. The song -- No. 63 on this list of the Top 100 Country Love Songs -- is important to Blake Shelton for personal reasons, as well. He says hearing songwriter Dave Barnes' version motivated him to propose to Miranda Lambert. 

"God gave me you for the ups and downs / God gave me you for the days of doubt / And for when I think I lost my way / There are no words here left to say, it's true / God gave me you," Shelton sings. The lyric works on so many levels, be it a song of pure devotion or asking someone for forgiveness.
