Brett Eldredge Performing at Miss USA 2017
Brett Eldredge will appear alongside some of the most beautiful women in the country on Sunday (May 14) when he takes the stage at the 2017 Miss USA pageant.
In addition to Pitbull and the Cirque de Soleil Michael Jackson One cast, Eldredge will be part of the entertainment at the Las Vegas event. The two-hour Miss USA Pageant airs live on Fox at 8PM ET on Sunday, hosted by Julianne Hough and Terrence J.
It’s not the first time Eldredge has been a part of a big-name pageant. The artist was a judge at the 2016 Miss America competition, and he says pageants like these are about more than just how women look.
“It’s beyond beauty — it’s that they have it together and they know what they want,” he explained to People about what he’d be looking for. “I’ll be basing a lot of my decisions on that. Swimsuit is obviously a great category but the talent part says a lot about a person. Everybody in the whole world has a certain talent, so I think that will be my favorite part – seeing what each woman brings to the table.”
Eldredge is gearing up for the release of his self-titled new album, due out in August. He’s been teasing some of the songs ahead of time, including one titled “Cast Away,” which he played live in Nashville, and “Something I’m Good At,” which is serving as the lead-off single.
“This song captures my personality 100 percent, word for word, more than any song I’ve ever done,” he says of the lighthearted tune.
