Brett Young Is Leaving All of the Wedding Planning to His Fiancee
Brett Young will marry Taylor Mill in November, but don't ask him for the details. The singer admits his fiancee is doing almost all of the planning — it's just better this way.
Young says he's been amazed by how much time goes into wedding planning and realizes now that it's practically a full-time job.
"She’s working really hard to plan the wedding and I’ve volunteered to stay out of the way unless she really needs my help with something," he says via his record label. "And I think we found a good balance there."
Brett Young Talks About His Celebrity Crush and SO Much More
The "Mercy" singer shares that his future bride is "killing it" when it comes to making sure their wedding is perfect. "She’s basically killing it and I’ve never thought of wedding planning as a full-time job, especially for the bride and the groom, but it takes up way more time than my job,” he insists.
Young proposed to Mills in February in Oxford, Miss. He went to college at Ole Miss, and the couple met while his now-fiancee was attending Arizona State University. The country star tells People that they will likely get married in Arizona.
They were on-again, off-again for six years, breaking off their relationship with Young moved to Nashville. Thankfully for their love story, they reconnected. Young wrote much of his first record about her.
"There was never any bad blood," he insists. "It was just the wrong time for us. We recently got back in touch and realized that we were both finally in the same place and knew it was right."
An exact wedding date has not been shared.
