Brittany Aldean Honors Late Grandmother, Dog on One Year Anniversary of Their Deaths
August 4, 2019 became a day of reflection for Brittany Aldean, as it marked one year since the deaths of two important beings in her life: her grandmother and her faithful dog.
On Sunday, Jason Aldean's wife turned to Instagram twice to remember both Louvada and Bentley, who passed away within an hour of one another in 2018. First she nodded to her canine companion, who was her first "child" before she and husband Jason welcomed son Memphis, now 1, and 6-month-old daughter Navy.
"You were the sun, the moon and all the stars. You were my first child, my first love, my first responsibility in life," she says alongside a photo of the French Bulldog sitting on the edge of the couple's pool, adding that when they move into a new house, which is currently being built, she plans plant a tree and place his ashes next to a commemorative stone.
"I’ll love you forever and ever my angel boy. Can’t believe it’s been a year," she concludes with a heartbroken emoji.

Later, she honored her grandmother Louvada with a sweet photo that has her thoughtfully looking at her grandmother in a hospital bed.
"She was my person! The only one who I’d let hold me when I was little and the sweetest, most fun lady I’d ever met," Brittany says.
A few months before her grandmother's death, the singer's wife says she visited her grandmother in the hospital and recorded their conversation, asking about her life journey from her job to marriage. "I'm so thankful I chose to do that. I have peace in knowing you are having such a blast in heaven-the life of the party, no doubt!" she writes. "Miss and love you beyond words."
