Two country artists who got their starts on reality TV will compete in this week's first Showdown. Casey James is the champion. His song "Fall Apart" breezed by Eli Young Band's new one over the weekend, setting up a battle with The Voice star RaeLynn and "For a Boy."

The second single from RaeLynn's upcoming new album is a love song, but it's not like "God Made Girls." Here one finds this Texan longing for the love of a close friend a la Sugarland's "Want To." Two Texans are squaring off today and Tuesday, with each having a passionate base of supporters. The Showdown should be hotly contested all the way to the end.

Listen to clips of both James and RaeLynn's songs and vote for your favorite here. You can vote once every hour until this Showdown ends on Wednesday at 8AM ET, so come back and vote often to be sure your artist wins. The winner of this matchup will face a new challenger on Wednesday.

Showdown Rules: The song with the most votes wins, and the winner goes on to face a new challenger in the next Showdown. Vote as much as once per hour online. If a song wins five Showdowns in a row, it will be retired into the Taste of Country Showdown Hall of Fame to allow for new songs to compete. Some songs will be considered for a second Showdown if voter turnout is healthy in a losing effort.
