In what was one of the most-anticipated performances of the CMA Awards Wednesday night (Nov. 14), Chris Stapleton joined with Maren Morris, Mavis Staples, Marty Stuart and his wife, Morgane Stapleton, for a medley that had us all feeling a whole lot better about the world today.

Backed up by a church choir donning all red robes, the musical dream team tore into a pair of uplifting songs. First on the list was Stapleton's song "Friendship," with all of the singers seemingly quite impressed by each other's vocal talents. They then went into the Staple Singers' classic "I'll Take You There," delivering an inspiring performance.

Stapleton is getting to be a pro at creating some unforgettable CMA Awards moments. Who could ever forget the medley he did back in 2015 when he dueted with Justin Timberlake?

So good.

Stapleton had already had quite a night, coming home with wins for Single of the Year and Song of the Year for his song "Broken Halos." Right after the performance, he was awarded Male Vocalist of the Year, beating out fellow nominees Dierks Bentley, Luke Combs, Thomas Rhett and Keith Urban.
