Chris Young is giving back to a community that has given him so much. The singer recently gave a generous donation to Nashville School of the Arts, even pulling in his loyal fanbase to get in on the action.

Young is a native of Middle Tennessee and has seen the power of music and the arts in schools as a recipient of art and music scholarships during his years as a student in Murfreesboro, Tenn. That's why the 'Who I am With You' singer visited Nashville School of the Arts on Sept. 8 to participate in its student-produced program, 'NSA Presents.' And he brought a hefty check -- make that checks -- with him!

At the programs opening, Young presented a two checks to the school, one for $25,000 from the singer himself and one for $5,000 from his own fan club. The generous gift will go toward updating and upgrading the school's auditorium.

Young is currently on the road with Dierks Bentley‘s Riser Tour.
