Coca-Cola Just Discontinued Two Popular Flavors and People Are Livid!

For some brands, it's easy to go under the radar and pull one a product without too many people noticing. Sometimes certain flavors don't sell as well, so they get discontinued, and the world keeps on spinning.

But for a brand as massive as Coca-Cola, fans definitely notice when a flavor goes missing, and there definitely will be backlash.

Coca-Cola just tried to quietly remove two flavors: Coca-Cola Cherry Vanilla and Diet Coke with Splenda. Fans of these flavors are being anything but quiet about the change.

We all know that when you find your groove with a soda and love it, you might get a little addicted to it, and to hear it's now unavailable could lead to some stress.

A statement from Coca-Cola reads:

"We decided to discontinue Coca-Cola Cherry Vanilla due to consumers' taste preferences and lifestyles constantly changing,"

Seem like a cop-out to you? You're not the only one — as soon as the message was delivered, the backlash started.

One commenter writes on X, "Been drinking Coke products the entirety of my 65 years. Cherry Vanilla is my absolute favorite of all time. Don’t know what they were thinking."

A Reddit user shows that she keeps coming back to the brand, despite Coke continuing to deliver blows to her tastebuds. "First orange vanilla was taken from us, and now cherry vanilla too. RIP, you were both delicious," she says.

Another Reddit user writes, "Coke is losing it with these decisions. Why mess with flavors that people love? I always stocked up on Cherry Vanilla, and now I won’t have the option. It’s disappointing."

The semi-good news here is that if you scour your neighborhood grocery stores this weekend, you can probably get some of the last deliveries of the aforementioned flavors and stock up before they're gone.
