In honor of the 4th of July coming up this weekend, Taste of Country has compiled this gallery of pictures featuring country entertainers like Toby Keith, Faith Hill, Willie Nelson, and Blake Shelton paying respect to the men and women who serve for this country.

It seems as though most country singers have always been very active supporters of the U.S. armed forces. Toby Keith is one of the most involved country singers within the military community. He has done countless tours overseas, performing for troops to help remind them that all of us back at home appreciate what they're doing -- not to mention to get the soldiers' minds off of the harsh realities of war. Montgomery Gentry, Gretchen Wilson, Jake Owen and Kid Rock have also taken the time to pay homage to the U.S. citizens who are fighting for our freedom.

Flip through these pictures of country singers posing with U.S. troops, whether they are performing during USO events or just visiting with servicemen and women (or serving in the army themselves, in Elvis' case). Leave us a comment below to let us know how you are celebrating our the nation's freedom.
