Dierks Bentley and NASCAR have teamed up to place a re-worked version of the singer's No. 1 hit, 'Sideways,' on televised racing events. The tune was commissioned by Fox Sports and will be part of the cable channel's coverage this entire calendar year.

We're not quite sure how the lyrics match up with racing: "Been here since the sun went down / Be here when it comes back around / Worked all week it’s time to play / Gonna get a little bit sideways / Sideways." Maybe it's more about the viewing experience.

The 'Up On The Ridge' country star has had a long relationship with NASCAR, having previously narrated the DVD, 'The Rise of Kahne,' about race car driver Kasey Kahne in 2009. According to CMT, Bentley will debut 'Sideways' live from the Daytona 500 next weekend. Be sure to catch the race on Fox Feb. 20.

The country star's Jägermeister Country Tour kicks off in Wallingford, Conn. on Mar. 17 and continues through May 13 in Norfolk, Va. Lastly, as we previously reported, Bentley will be a presenter on the Grammys this Sunday, Feb. 13 where he also is up for three awards for his 'Up on the Ridge' album.
