Female Rockers Light Up the Stage in Ed Sheeran, Chris Stapleton + Bruno Mars’ ‘Blow’ Video
Warning: You may get whiplash watching Ed Sheeran, Chris Stapleton and Bruno Mars' video for their new collaboration, "Blow."
Rather than making themselves the stars of the video, the three powerhouse singers allow a group of female rockers to take center stage in the high-energy video, which takes viewers inside the famous Los Angeles nightclub, the Viper Room. From the moment viewers press play, a team of guitar-wielding women dressed in faux fur, red leather pants, tiger-striped velvet jumpsuits and rhinestone leather jackets fire up the crowd with a badass performance that turns the intimate club into a full-throttle rock show.
Though the superstar trio aren't physically present in the video, their voices are heard loud and clear, as three individual singers step up to the mic to sing along to each verse with Sheeran, Stapleton and Mars' vocals playing overhead. The crowd is going crazy all the while, with full-on headbanging as the fierce musicians slay on stage.
"Blow" is the final track on Sheeran's upcoming album, No. 6 Collaborations Project, which finds him teaming up with a diverse group of artists including Eminem and 50 Cent, Cardi B and Camilla Cabello and more. Sheeran revealed in a Facebook post that he co-wrote "Blow" with Stapleton in Nashville, while Mars and a team of five other co-writers also lent a hand. Mars also serves as producer of the rock track, with Sheeran stating in a press release that the three wide-ranging acts had "a lot of fun" with the recording process.
Sheeran is fully immersing himself in the country genre, co-writing Kenny Chesney's new single "Tip of the Tongue" with the country star and Ross Copperman. The song is set to drop on Friday (July 12).
