Faith Hill Is Inspired by Beyonce, Wants to Learn to Dance
Faith Hill stopped by the Bobby Bones Show with Tim McGraw on Wednesday (Oct. 5), and in addition to hinting that new music is on the way — "Yes, I really hope so" — she also revealed that she is a big fan of Beyonce. She saw the pop superstar twice on her current tour!
"Maggie, our middle daughter, we just dropped off at college a couple of weeks ago and we happened to be in Northern California and Beyonce was playing Santa Clara, and I took Maggie to see her there," Hill shares. "Then, I took Gracie and Audrey to see her in Nashville the other night and we threw down. I cannot dance, but that night I was throwing it down. I don't know where it was coming from but it was all out there and the next morning I woke up and my back was so sore. I think I threw my back out."
Seeing Beyonce live inspired the country singer, and especially made her want to step up her dance game.
"I've always wanted to dance. I'm a horrible dancer. I've made a fool of myself," Hill admits. "I'm pretty bad. I've made a fool of myself multiple times but that's okay because I don't care."
The country singer says that Beyonce has even prompted her to consider taking "legit dance lessons" — but don't expect her to debut those moves on the Soul2Soul World Tour with McGraw next year.
"I don't really know how that would fit in with what I do," she adds.
McGraw and Hill announced their forthcoming 2017 world tour earlier this week. The couple will kick off the 65-city 2017 Soul2Soul World Tour April 7, 2017 in New Orleans, La., and wrap in October 2017 in New York City.
