Florida Georgia Line’s ‘Dig Your Roots’ Album Goes Platinum
Florida Georgia Line's 2016 Dig Your Roots album has gone platinum.
With the certification, the duo of Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard have become one of just three country artists to reach platinum status for an album released in the last year. The duo is also the only country act to have a platinum album with three separate platinum singles from the same project: “God, Your Mama, and Me" (featuring the Backstreet Boys), “May We All” (featuring Tim McGraw) and the double-platinum “H.O.L.Y.”
All three of Florida Georgia Line's studio albums are now certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
FGL Are Among Country's Highest-Paid Stars!
FGL quickly catapulted to stardom after the release of their 2012 debut single "Cruise," which has become the best-selling country digital single of all time. They've also landed 10 No. 1 songs on Billboard's Country Airplay chart in their relatively short run in country music, thanks in part to their creative collaborations outside the country music realm.
Beginning with a 2013 remix of "Cruise" featuring Nelly, FGL later spawned a remix of “This Is How We Roll” with Jason Derulo. Since then, the country duo have worked with the aforementioned Backstreet Boys on their recent country crossover smash “God, Your Mama, and Me," the Chainsmokers on “Last Day Alive” and have plans to release a song with pop singer Bebe Rexha.
Dig Your Roots was released in August of 2016.
