Florida Georgia Line Open Doors of FGL House in Nashville
Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard of Florida Georgia Line held the grand opening for their new Nashville establishment, FGL House, on Monday night (June 5).
The four floor, 22,000 square-foot bar and restaurant is yet another business venture launched by Nashville country stars on lower Broadway; a strip that already includes establishments attached to Alan Jackson, John Rich and Dierks Bentley (and Jimmy Buffett, if you count Margaritaville).
FGL House stays on course with its rooftop bar— the ongoing Music City trend — as well as a full menu with the self-named standard FGL House Burger (local beef, onion jam, white cheddar, arugula, tomato, pickles) mixed in with other semi-Southern-fused cuisine.
The drink menu, however, has the most character with 20 beers, select wines and five house cocktails named after FGL songs, including Sippin' on Fire (reposado, cayenne, lime, pink grapefruit soda) and Sun Daze (rum, blood orange, lime, ginger beer). Two of the cocktails also feature the duo's Old Camp peach pecan whiskey, another non-music endeavor launched before FGL House.
Hubbard did most of the talking at the event, thanking the capacity crowd for their continued support in music and beyond.
"I know we've got a lot to celebrate living here in this beautiful city of Nashville," Hubbard said. "I just want to say on behalf of BK and I, thank y'all for spending your night with us tonight. Thank you for celebrating this moment for us. I think this is sort of a flashback for BK and I; the last 10 years we've been in Nashville trying to make a name for ourselves so thank you guys for believing in us. ... We didn't invite you here for no reason. This is y'alls place, so make yourself at home and let's drink some Old Camp."
FGL also gave fans a sneak peak of their yet-to-be-released music video "Smooth" in an effort to "test out" the giant projector screen on FGL House's first floor.
The establishment promises to have live music daily, on par with the rest of the Nashville Broadway strip, with Dee Jay Silver spinning custom country mixes every Tuesday night.
