Garth Brooks Joins Randy Travis Tribute Concert Lineup

Garth Brooks has been added to the all-star lineup for 1 Night. 1 Place. 1 Time: A Heroes and Friends Tribute to Randy Travis. The upcoming tribute concert features a Who's Who of country music paying homage to Travis' musical influence.

Brooks joins a stellar roster that already included Chris Young, along with country music veterans Kenny Rogers, Tanya Tucker, Travis Tritt, Alabama and Wynonna Judd. Rising stars Kane Brown, Scotty McCreery, Chris Janson, William Michael Morgan, Chuck Wicks and Michael Ray will also appear. Additionally, Josh Turner, Jamey Johnson, Montgomery Gentry, Alison Krauss, Paul Overstreet, Shane Owens, Mark Chesnutt, Daryle Singletary and more are set to perform.

"Mary and I are so blessed to have amazing friends all over this industry. Garth Brooks is an amazing artist who always entertains everyone in the house, I am humbled by his involvement," Travis says in a press release on behalf of himself and his wife.

Travis suffered a stroke in 2013 that took away his ability to walk and speak. He's garnered tremendous encouragement as he has worked to recover over the last few years.

"It’s amazing to see the support that Randy has received from the music industry since his stroke," Travis’ manager, Tony Conway of Conway Entertainment, tells the Tennessean. "We’re thrilled to have all of these artists come out and pay tribute to him."

A portion of the proceeds from the concert will benefit the Randy Travis Foundation, which works to raise money for stroke research and rehab for patients.

Though he's still got a way to go before he can resume his career, Travis has recovered sufficiently to make several public appearances over the last year. He was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2016 -- with Brooks on hand to present the honor -- and stunned the crowd by leading a singalong of "Amazing Grace." He also appeared in the opening medley at the 50th annual CMA Awards, and Travis surprised Charlie Daniels live onstage at his 80th Birthday Volunteer Jam to present him with a Humanitarian of the Year Award.

The 1 Night. 1 Place. 1 Time: A Heroes and Friends Tribute to Randy Travis concert is set to take place at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena on Feb. 8.
