Jason Aldean Fan Pummeled by Police During Concert in Georgia [Watch]
A Jason Aldean fan in Georgia crossed the line, literally. The man tried to jump on stage but only got to the edge before security and police swarmed and tackled him.
Video shows three men responding to the stage-crasher, and they weren't politely escorting him away. He's whisked away like a dead deer as Aldean finishes a song.
- Aldean is currently on the Highway Desperado Tour.
- The incident took place during Thursday night's (July 25) show in Savannah, Ga.
- It's not clear what the fan's motives were.
Aldean remains calm throughout but seems to walk away from the microphone in exasperation as the incident is resolved. The second video adds more context as to what might have happened but fans need to know a bit about Aldean's history to understand why this was potentially frightening.
That side angle shows the man using a rock-and-roll hand gesture as he's toted away by uniformed men. For that reason, people assume he was just a fan who went too far.
Another angle shows that the first security guard pulls him to the stage floor. Typically there is about four feet of space between fans and stage, with metal barriers between them. Somehow the fan bridged that gap.
Aldean allegedly said, "Well that's got to be the dumbest thing he's ever done in his life."
If Aldean was a bit more nervous than most country stars it'd be understandable as he was on stage when a shooter began firing at the Route 91 Festival in Las Vegas in 2017.
Like all of America, he also watched an assassination attempt on Former President Donald Trump on July 13. Aldean and his wife are fervent supporters of Trump and even sat next to him at the Republican National Convention.
