After being caught on camera allegedly dropping the F-bomb at the 2013 VMAs, Taylor Swift has been a hot topic across the web. But have no fear: John Rich is here to defend her honor.

Swift was spotted leaning in to her bestie Selena Gomez while One Direction (the boyband which includes her ex, Harry Styles) were presenting an award during the show. When watched closely, it appears that country music's sweetheart was using the mother of all swear words.

"Shut the f--- up," is what most people think she was saying. And while Swift is always facing down critics, this time she has one half of the Big and Rich duo in her corner.

"Everybody's so shocked that @taylorswift13 would drop an F bomb. Might be a little redneck left in her somewhere after all!" Rich tweeted in support of the 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together' hitmaker.

While Rich's support was inferred by his first tweet, he went on to explicitly tell his Twitter followers that Swift is just fine by him. "Next thing we're going to see is @taylorswift13 with a cocktail...NO!!!!!!!!" he joked.

He added, "Hahaa! So funny to me ... the girl earned her spot. Chill."

It's hard to say exactly what Swift was trying to tell Gomez during the VMAs, but she did use her acceptance speech for Best Female Video (for 'I Knew You Were Trouble') to seemingly take a more public swipe at Styles, whom the song is rumored to be about.

"I also want to thank the person who inspired this song,” she said, "who knows exactly who he is, because now I got one of these. Thank you so much!”

Regardless of what she said to her best friend in the heat of the moment, it seems like Swift has earned the respect of at least one of her fellow country singers -- and we're sure he's not the only one.
