Jordan Davis performed a single Canadian tour date on June 27 at The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor in Windsor, Ontario. Everything went smoothly until it was time for Davis to re-enter the United States.

Jordan Davis Detained By Border Patrol in Case of Missing Identity

In an Instagram video posted after the incident, Davis explained what happened.

"They said, 'We're not gonna put you in handcuffs, but I need you to come with me.'"

"Dude, the two cops came in here and pulled me into Border Patrol. They're like, 'I need you to be real serious with me, man. Are you in some trouble in Indiana?'"

"I was like, 'No, I've never even been arrested, dude.' They were serious for a second," Davis tells his busmates.

The "Singles You Up" singer continued, "Somebody in Indiana named Jordan Davis is in some serious trouble."

Davis says that after spending a few minutes in the Border Patrol office being questioned, some of the officers began to realize who he was. They noticed the large tour bus outside and started looking around to figure out what was going on.

Jordan Davis Recognized By Canadian Border Patrol Agents During Stop

Davis continued his story, explaining that once Border Patrol realized he wasn't the Jordan Davis they had been looking for, one of the agents asked, "'Are you the country singer?' I was like, 'Yeah.'"

Davis said the agent then admitted he was worried the singer would get back on his tour bus and blast Border Patrol on social media or from the stage at his next show.

The law-abiding country singer laughed off the idea.

"I was like, 'Nah, dude. Just let me get out of here.'"

The craziest part is that the others on Davis' bus say they thought Border Patrol was only asking him for pictures. They had no idea he was being taken in for questioning until he got back on the bus and said, "I almost got locked up, cuz."
