Julianne Hough is not only a country music star and an accomplished dancer, she is also quite an actress. Her last film was 'Burlesque,' and now we hear she is changing it up a bit. Variety reports that Hough is in talks to be the first American voice talent in the 3-D animated film 'Not Born to Be Gladiators.'

Word has it Hough will be the voice of goofy gladiator Timo's love interest.

The big-budget movie will be produced by Italy's Rainbow Studios and released by Paramount Pictures in the U.S, though the rest of the voice cast has not been revealed. To garner interest in the film, it was recently shown to the press and buyers in Cannes.

Hough announced late last year that she will also star opposite Tom Cruise on the big screen in the adaptation of 'Rock of Ages,' originally a huge hit on Broadway. The singer's next big screen role will be Ariel in the remake of 'Footloose,' out this year.

A U.S. release date for 'Not Born to Be Gladiators' is loosely set for early next year, when we also may be seeing a new country album from Hough.
