Keith Urban is celebrating the official arrival of summer with the newly released music video for his song "Drop Top." The road trip-ready track now has an accompanying live clip, recorded during Urban's Graffiti U Tour.

Urban's "Drop Top" music video begins backstage, as a chanting crowd awaits Urban's arrival. On tour, Urban's collaborator Kassi Ashton sang her parts of the song via pre-recorded video, except for at Urban's Nashville show, when she appeared live. Both sets of footage are interspersed throughout the clip.

Ashton, still an artist on the rise, was a relatively unknown singer when Urban invited her to guest on "Drop Top." The country superstar recalls that he was looking for someone with "legit, not faux, swagger" as he sought out the person who would join him on the song.

"She's such a unique, original creature," Urban says of Ashton. "I don't know who her influences are, but they sound somewhere between Tammy Wynette and Beyonce. It's so extraordinarily unique."

Urban's ambitious Graffiti U Tour won him both the 2018 CMA and the 2019 ACM Entertainer of the Year trophies. He recently retooled the show for his run of festival dates during the 2019 summer tour season.

Urban recently released a new single, "We Were," and he tells Taste of Country that he's working on more new material, which he won't hesitate to drop even without a full album release date in sight. "I think that just new music is the thing that we want as well as artists, as well as the audience," he admits.
