It looks like Keith Urban will return to the stage for his first post-surgery performance a little sooner than expected. A press release issued today (Jan. 12) revealed that Urban will appear at the Grand Ole Opry on Friday, Feb. 3. The singer's return to doing what he does best has been bumped up a week.

Urban is scheduled to take the stage at the historic Ryman Auditorium, where the Opry will close its winter run. It was previously announced that Urban's first gig after having successful vocal cord surgery in late 2011 was supposed to take place on Feb. 10 in Austin, Texas at a benefit for those afflicted with batten disease. That show is still on Urban's itinerary.

Urban will also be back to the Opry on Friday, March 9, as one of the artists slated to play at the Opry House. Additionally, he has dates lined up for late May and June, so he is wasting no time getting back in the saddle, so to speak.

Sooner, later, whenever. We're just glad Keith Urban is readying his return to the stage, and we can't wait to hear his voice again.
