Lady Antebellum's upcoming album 'Golden' is certainly poised to live up to its name, as the trio's first single from the release, 'Downtown,' is already their seventh career No. 1 song -- their fastest-ever chart-topper -- taking the top place on the Billboard and Mediabase charts.

The Grammy-winning group has tallied over 500,000 digital downloads for the single, which is also their highest charting debut on country radio. 'Downtown' portrays a new and funky sound for Lady A, and it's clear that fans are gobbling it up, excited about what's to come from the new album.

Band member Charles Kelley explains why the single has risen to the top so quickly, saying, “Most of what the world has seen from Hillary from a radio single standpoint is this very sweet kind of style like ‘American Honey,' but she’s got a lot of sass and a lot of grit to her voice, too, so it’s been really fun to bring that out of her and have this kind of support from our fans and radio.”

Lady A has lots of exciting things in store, with Hillary Scott appearing on 'The Voice,' a new baby due this summer, an appearance at the inaugural Taste of Country Festival and their highly-anticipated fourth album's release on May 7. With the skyrocketing success of 'Downtown,' the Grammy winning trio will continue to influence country music in new and surprising ways.
