Lauren Alaina Spreads Christmas Cheer to Sick Children
The holidays are always hectic, but the season is especially hard on families that have young children in the hospital. The huge-hearted Lauren Alaina took time out of a busy holiday schedule that has been filled with personal and professional commitments to bring a little Christmas joy to hospitalized children.
News 9 in Chattanooga, Tenn. reports that Alaina visited the Children's Hospital at Erlanger on Thursday, Dec. 22. Alaina spent time with the young cancer patients and sick kids, and she even treated them to an intimate performance of her hit single 'Like My Mother Does' along with the Christmas classic 'Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer.'
The 'American Idol' runner up also signed autographs for the families, leaving her John Hancock on a variety of items, like plush toys, iPods and copies of her 'Wildflower' albums. The locals said that the singer was as sweet and cordial in real life as she appears on TV. Alaina has always contended that fame won't change her, and clearly it hasn't.
Alaina no doubt made the day of the children she visited. Footage of the Christmas sweater clad Alaina visiting the children can be viewed here.
