Lauren Alaina Brings ‘Ladies in the ’90s’ to ‘Dancing With the Stars’ [Watch]
The samba never looked so good as it did on Monday night (Nov. 5) on Dancing With the Stars, as model Alexis Ren and pro partner Alan Bersten danced to the music of Lauren Alaina. The Georgia peach performed her new song “Ladies in the 90s” during Country Night on the dance competition show.
Donning black overalls and a glittery gray, tummy-baring top underneath, Alaina looked rested and energetic as she returned to the stage after dealing with the recent death of her stepfather. The new song gives shout-outs to several legendary country females including Faith Hill, Reba McEntire and Deana Carter. Alaina co-wrote “Ladies in the ’90s” with Jesse Frasure and Amy Wadge.
While the song is notable as Alaina’s current single, it also will have special meaning in the journey for Ren and Bersten, who confirmed during the episode that they are dating! The couple even ran up onstage together to give Alaina a hug after the performance.
Alaina was just one of several country artists who performed on the show, including Chris Janson, Cole Swindell, Lanco and Carly Pearce. Each performer provided a musical backdrop to a beautiful dance. At the end of the evening, a double elimination would send two couples home for the season.
It’s now time for Alaina to prep for 2019, as she will head out on tour alongside Blake Shelton for the Friends and Heroes 2019 Tour. The tour will also feature the Bellamy Brothers, John Anderson and Trace Adkins.
