Heads Up! LoCash Try to Guess the Song With Hey Mr. DJ Deck
LoCash's Preston Brust and Chris Lucas got their start as DJs at Nashville's Wildhorse Saloon, so when Taste of Country suggested the duo play a round of the Hey Mr. DJ edition Heads Up!, they were game — it seemed like a natural fit! However, the guys soon learned that the game wasn't as easy as it appeared.
The "Ring on Every Finger" singers began the game with Brust humming the songs while Lucas tried to guess what he was singing. The first song — John Denver's "Take Me Home Country Roads" — was an easy one. Once Brust read the title for Taylor Swift's "Our Song" he quickly passed, realizing he wouldn't be able to hum the song.
Thomas Rhett's "Die a Happy Man" was up next, and while after a few seconds Lucas guessed the right singer, he couldn't quite name the song.
Other songs, like Alan Jackson's "Chattahoochee" and Jason Aldean's "Big Green Tractor," were guessed instantly, but Brust gave up after attempting to sing Dierks Bentley's "Somewhere on a Beach." He wasn't impressed with his results overall.
"That was bad. I'm not a good hummer guys," he said.
The roles then reversed, with Brust trying to guess the song titles as Lucas hummed . At first they were off to a great start with three consecutive wins — Randy Travis' "Forever and Ever, Amen," Little Big Town's "Girl Crush" and Dolly Parton's "I Will Always Love You." Things went south shortly after that. Watch the duo play the game in the video above.
LoCash's current single, "Ring on Every Finger," is the third release off their 2016 album The Fighters.
