Luke Bryan Wakes Us Up With ‘Good Morning America’ Party [Watch]
Luke Bryan had an early wakeup call on Friday (Aug. 8)! The singer crashed New York City's Central Park to play several of his biggest hits for the 'Good Morning America' Summer Concert Series.
The star kept it casual in a baby blue T-shirt (blue is definitely his color), opting for a little hair gel instead of a hat heading into the weekend. And of course, it didn't take long for the morning show guest to become a trending topic on Twitter with #LukeBryanonGMA.
The Georgia native played several songs for the full crowd, including 'That's My Kind of Night,' his latest single 'Roller Coaster,' 'Play It Again' and one of his best booty shaking hits, 'Country Girl (Shake It for Me).' The crowd, which was full of women, sang and danced along to all of Bryan's singles. In fact, some fans were so enthusiastic, they crashed Central Park 16 hours early! When 'GMA' interviewed the campers, they called the singer's set "phenomenal" and were obviously giddy over what they'd experienced.
Bryan was reminded that two years ago when he played the Summer Concert Series, he was yearning to play big tours. Now, he's playing stadiums.
"We're just having a great year out here,” the singer says, making the understatement of the year.
Unfortunately, Bryan missed out on his son Bo's first day of school to fly out to NYC for the show, but he did offer a few words of encouragement for kiddo. "Stay tough boy, don’t back down," Bryan said with a laugh as the show displayed a photo of his family.
