Luke Bryan kicked off the 2012 American Country Awards doing what he does best: perform. The singer opened tonight's (Dec. 10) broadcast in Las Vegas with his latest No. 1 hit, 'Kiss Tomorrow Goodbye.'

Dressed in all black, the country favorite revved up the crowd, pretty much engaging them and demanding that they kiss tomorrow goodbye since tonight is going to be a good time!

During Bryan's typically spirited performance, the camera cut to the crowd -- specifically to fellow country superstar Carrie Underwood -- who was singing along to the lyrics. That's how you know Bryan has a true hit on his hands, besides that multi-week stint at No. 1 on the charts and all. He is equally loved by fans, peers and country radio.

Bryan, who always wears a smile no matter what he is doing, certainly had a reason to be happy, since he is nominated for a handful of ACAs, which certainly increases his chances of winning and walking away with an armful of guitar-shaped trophies. It's actually a total of seven nominations, so tonight could shape up to be a good one for Bryan.

He got the party started on the right foot.
