It can't be easy to be the only girls on an all-male tour, but it's easier when your tour mates are sweethearts! Maddie and Tae are the only chicks on Dierks Bentley's 2015 Sounds of Summer Tour with Kip Moore and Canaan Smith, but the men have all become big brothers for the country duo.

When you're out on a tour, your road family becomes your family, and that's the case with Bentley's tour this summer. M&T admit that they've all bonded during the days before shows. Smith has been looking out for the young duo, even serving as "security" during meet and greets. He's not the only one.

“Sometimes you can get some creepy guys, but most of the time everyone’s really respectful and nice, and they ask us to sign their paper instead of their skin. Sometimes people can get out of hand, but for the most part they’re really respectful. But we do have Canaan and Kip and Dierks, who are like our big brothers, so if anything were to happen I think we would be in good hands," Taylor Dye explains.

Even though most men are gentleman at their meet and greets, not everyone is as respectful as they should be.

“There was one time where we got a really inappropriate question and when Kip found out he was like, ‘What?’ He got so mad," Maddie Marlow exclaims to Taste of Country Nights. "He’s like big brother, you know, he’s like brother bear. They’re very protective of us, which is so sweet and we’re all really close, too. It’s not a tour where the headliner does his own thing each night. We hang out with Dierks an hour to two hours each day, running into each other at the venue and stuff.”

Maddie and Tae will continue their stint on the road with Bentley and crew, but they're also prepping for the release of their debut album on Aug. 28. You can also catch them on the road headlining their own tour this fall.

Sam Alex is the host of Taste of Country Nights radio, a syndicated night show which airs on more than 60 Townsquare Media Group stations nationwide.
