Maren Morris is currently single after finalizing her divorce from Ryan Hurd in February, and she's not looking for anything serious — at least, if you believe the lyrics of her new release, "I Hope I Never Fall in Love."

But that doesn't mean dating's off the table. In a new sit-down with the Cosmopolitan video series Cheap Shots, Morris reveals that she's been on some dates, and even tried the member-based, dating-focused social media platform Raya.

The topic came up after Morris fielded a question about which celebrities have dropped into her DMs since her divorce was announced.

The singer says she briefly went out with this celebrity, whom she met on Raya, but her enthusiasm waned pretty quickly. "I don't want to name the person, because they weren't an a--hole," she says.

"But they were, like, really love bomb-y. I went on, like, two dates with them, and it was just not fun," Morris goes on to say. "I feel like I'm talking to my mother or something, like, 'Why don't you text me back?' Because I've been on two dates with you and I'm on tour. I'm working."

Morris and Hurd split in 2023, and she's since opened up about the emotions she faced after divorce, and her experiencing of co-parenting Hayes, the four-year-old son she and Hurd share. In June, Morris came out as bisexual.
