As the presents pile up and the temperatures drop, country music artists are gearing up for the holidays with new songs on the radio for December 2011. To stay true to the spirit of the season, many are releasing Christmas-themed tracks, which may overrun your radio station whether you like it or not.

Joe Nichols is bringing back an oldie but a goodie in 'Old Toy Trains' -- the song is a bonus track on the digital reissue of his 2004 Christmas album, ‘A Traditional Christmas,' and with Nichols' recognizable deep voice behind the mic, we couldn't be happier to welcome this classic cover.

Also in December 2011, Sunny Sweeney takes a more original approach to Christmas with her new release 'One More Christmas Beer,' which describes the all too real situation of wanting to get drunk to mentally escape the family. Likewise, Tim Dugger declares that it's 'Way Past My Beer Time' with his latest -- which is not specifically meant for the holiday season, but rather an excuse to drink on any occasion, special or not.

Rest assured, more music will be on its way, so keep it clicked to Taste of Country to hear all of the new songs on the radio in December 2011 ... Without having to sit through commercials!
