Alabama may have not released any new material in the last decade, but that doesn't mean they broke up -- at least that's the way Randy Owen sees it.

"Me and Jeff and Teddy, we're still together,” Randy tells Country Weekly when being asked about getting together to cover 'Are You Sure Hank Done It This Way' for the upcoming Waylon Jennings tribute album. "We told everybody we just didn't plan to tour for a while, or maybe ever, but we might do some recording. After all those years, it was time to do it."

"We might do some stuff and take it step by step and project by project," Owen adds. Sounds like 40 No. 1 singles and over 73 million albums in sales over their entire career doesn't stop the trio from jumping back in the saddle again.

For now, though, that seems all Owen can commit to. Owen's currently been balancing his time working on his solo project that benefits firemen and police offers in the line of duty and spending time jamming with friends, such as Brad Paisley.

“Paisley was working on something interesting with some guys and they were writing a song and wanted me to come and work with them," Randy explains. "I brought out my Music Man guitar and played it on the session."
