Scotty McCreery is proving to be an unstoppable force in the Showdown, tearing through a challenge from A Thousand Horses to win his third straight contest. Now he'll face a tough challenge from Amanda Watkins.

McCreery's latest single, "Southern Belle," is pretty different from what he's offered before, but that certainly hasn't deterred his loyal fans from turning out to vote. Once again the vote was nowhere remotely close, with McCreery trouncing A Thousand Horses by taking more than 90 percent of the vote.

Watkins was formerly one-half of Miss Willie Brown, and she's kicking off her solo career in grand style with "If I Was Over You," a duet featuring Jamey Johnson. The song has already been a favorite of Taste of Country readers, but will Watkins' and Johnson's combined fans present a challenge to McCreery?

Listen to clips of both McCreery and Watkins' songs and vote for your favorite here. You can vote once every hour until this Showdown ends on Friday at 8AM ET, so come back and vote often to be sure your artist wins. The winner of this matchup will face a new challenger on Friday.

Showdown Rules: The song with the most votes wins, and the winner goes on to face a new challenger in the next Showdown. Vote as much as once per hour online. If a song wins five Showdowns in a row, it will be retired into the Taste of Country Showdown Hall of Fame to allow for new songs to compete. Some songs will be considered for a second Showdown if voter turnout is healthy in a losing effort.
