Last week's appearance on 'Good Morning America' was enough to earn 'American Idol' winner Scotty McCreery some hardware for the walls of his home in Garner, N.C. Digital singles of 'I Love You This Big' were up 29 percent to 24,000, according to USA Today. That's enough to bring the song gold certification for over 500,000 in sales.

Lauren Alaina also saw a huge boost in sales. Fans were impressed by her courageous performance of 'Like My Mother Does.' Alaina could barely speak during the interview portion of the appearance. To date, the song has sold almost 250,000 digital singles. Last week, she sold 8,000, more than double the previous week's total.

These figures were no doubt helped along by the release of both McCreery and Alaina's debut music videos. The singing friends also announced they would both release their debut albums in less than two months. Last week, Alaina announced that 'Wildflower' would be available on October 11, while McCreery told fans they could expect 'Clear as Day' on October 4. Both singers are on the American Idols Live Tour through September 10.
