Scotty McCreery stayed in North Carolina for his senior year of high school and did all the things a normal high school senior would do, including attend prom. His date is the same girl from his 'The Trouble With Girls' video.

In 2011, he attended prom briefly during his hometown visit for 'American Idol.' TV crews were on hand to tape it all, but the singer was too emotional the first time he tried to enter, so everyone drove around the block and took another try to get some good footage. He didn't have a date that night, but days later he'd win the reality show.
