Lauren Alaina is one of the hottest young rising stars in country music. She shot to fame during the tenth season of 'American Idol,' where she was a favorite of the judges beginning with her audition, when Steven Tyler proclaimed, "We found the one." She got to fulfill a dream when she performed with her own idol, Carrie Underwood, during the finale, where she came in second to Scotty McCreery. Alaina released her debut single, 'Like My Mother Does,' shortly after her run on the show, and her debut album, 'Wildflower,' was released in October of 2011. Its lead single, 'Georgia Peaches,' reached the Top 30, and remains her biggest chart hit to date. In 2013 Alaina released 'Barefoot and Buckwild,' from her forthcoming sophomore album. Another song rumored to be part of that project is 'Same Day, Different Bottle,' which was inspired by her father's struggle with alcoholism. After a period out of the public eye following surgery on her vocal cords, Alaina returned to the studio in October of 2011 to resume work on her next album.
