Taylor Swift Fans Get Shirt Referencing Her Love Life Pulled From Abercrombie Stores
Taylor Swift may be a celebrity, but she deserves respect. So, when Abercrombie & Fitch made a rude reference to the 'Everything Has Changed' hitmaker's love life via a t-shirt, her fans reacted.
In fact, they bombarded the retail clothing store until the shirt was pulled from the shelves.
The controversial shirt reads, "#more boyfriends than t.s." in shiny silver letters, a hit on Swift's often exploited, often embellished relationships.
The top crossed the line, Swift's fans felt, which is why they bombarded Abercrombie & Fitch until it was discontinued. The store's corporate message system confirms, "Thank you for calling Abercrombie & Fitch public relations. If you are calling regarding the Taylor Swift t-shirt, please note this is no longer available," E! Online reports.
Swift's dating life is often the source of tabloid fodder, and she's endured being the subject of jokes at the CMAs and other awards shows, along with public figures such as Michael J. Fox openly criticizing her. Even President Obama took a lighthearted crack at the songstress. The '22' singer drew the line at the Golden Globes, firing back with her own opinion and taking a stand for herself.
According to Swift, she has only dated two guys since 2010 -- a fact which hardly warrants a t-shirt.
