When Ellen DeGeneres nudged Taylor Swift about her love life on her show today, Swift laughed and said she sits by herself and watches the TV show 'Law and Order' when she's not busy.

"You'd know if I had a boyfriend," Swift insisted. "I for real don't have a boyfriend. I sit by myself and I watch 'Law and Order.' I don't have a boyfriend. I don't even have like, kind of a boyfriend. I don't have someone that I'm texting that is a guy that someday might be my boyfriend. There's like nothing going on right now."

"That's pathetic," DeGeneres joked.

Between her seemingly perpetually extended world tour, various award shows and charity appearances, and even  possible acting gig next year, we're guessing Swift has little time to mourn the lack of a special someone. After chatting about Swift's shows, including the August 28 concert at Los Angeles' Staples Center when the comedian joined her onstage, Swift widened her eyes as she talked about the love she receives from her fans.

"It is unbelievable to be on tour," Swift told DeGeneres. "We just keep extending the tour. The crowds everywhere are amazing and they know every word in every song."

One of Swift's ardent fans was in the 'Ellen' audience.

"Even the idea of meeting Taylor Swift or saying my name -- 'Hi, Mary Kate' -- that just blows my mind'" said the teen fan, who talked lovingly about Swift and the Swift concert she attended.

When Mary Kate -- who likened Swift to "an angel" -- came onstage and hugged Swift and DeGeneres, she burst into tears and answered Ellen's questions about what makes the country star "so great."

"Everything about her!" sobbed Mary Kate. "Thank you so much for writing music."

Swift replied, "Oh my God! You're so sweet. Thank you so much for saying that."

DeGeneres got plenty of laughs, including from Mary Kate, when she presented the teen with a Halloween costume that looked just like a giant bottle of Swift's 'Wonderstruck' perfume. Tears flowed again when Ellen presented the fan with tickets to Nashville to attend the CMA Awards. Swift is nominated for five awards at the show.

Despite her international fame and numerous awards, Swift has remained down to earth and genuine, DeGeneres said. Swift proved that in a 'Wonderstruck' perfume advertisement parody that she acted out with Ellen. Other classic self-deprecating humor from Swift included her remarks in response to Ellen's question of if she ever goes somewhere else mentally when she's onstage.

"Yes, and I catch myself and say focus, focus!" Swift said with a laugh. "Sometimes I'm like, 'Oh my God! Cats are so cute. I love cats. Maybe I should get a cat ... Then I'm like, 'I'm on stage right now!'"

The audience, of course, laughed right along with her.
