Taylor Swift's former Beverly Hills starter estate is gorgeous, but it's still a down-to-earth home for one of the biggest stars in the entertainment world.

Swift purchased the 2,826-square-foot, Cape Cod-style estate displayed in the pictures above for $3.97 million in 2011. The four-bedroom, four-bathroom home was one of her first big real estate purchases as she began to expand her career from its roots in Nashville, and according to Zillow, the singer — who was 22 at the time — was spending more and more time in Los Angeles, finally leading her to decide to buy a home there.

The master bathroom includes dual sinks and walk-in closets. There are formal living and dining rooms with fireplaces, and the home, which is reminiscent of New England architecture, features French doors throughout that lead to outdoor living spaces.

The grounds include a one-bedroom, one-bathroom guest house with its own full kitchen and living room, as well as a tennis court.

The cozy, yet elegant residence is one of the more modest homes Swift has owned. She sold it in April of 2018 for $4 million after buying the legendary Samuel Goldwyn Estate in 2015. Swift reportedly paid $25 million in cash for the 10,982-square-foot estate, which has since been declared a landmark. She also owns a two-story penthouse in Nashville, a lavish mansion in Rhode Island and a two-story penthouse in the Tribeca section of New York City that she purchased from Lord of the Rings director Peter Jackson.
