Taylor Swift beat out an A-list batch of superstars to take home the Country Artist of the Year award at tonight's Billboard Music Awards.

Pat Monahan of Train presented the award to Swift, who faced competition from Lady Antebellum, Jason Aldean, Zac Brown Band and Kenny Chesney.

The Billboard Awards may have taken a four-year hiatus, but during her acceptance speech, Swift said she remembers the days when her favorites dominated the ceremony.

"I used to watch the Billboard Awards and see my heroes like Shania Twain and Faith Hill win these, and now...," she said, stopping as she became overwhelmed. "I'm just having the best time doing this."

Swift's victory was her second of the night. She also won the Billboard 200 Album Artist of the Year award.
