Taylor Swift Reveals Why She Has So Many Famous Friends

Taylor Swift is the unofficial queen of social media.

Not only did she throw an internet scavenger hunt for all her fans leading to the announcement of her fifth studio album, '1989,' the singer also posts regularly to her personal Instagram account -- and there's usually more than one famous face in her photos!

The 'Shake It Off' singer sat down with ABC's 'Good Morning America' on Aug. 19 to talk about her upcoming pop album, and why all her best friends seem to be A-list celebs like her.

"I think that it doesn't matter what career my friends have," says Swift, who has posted photos on her Instagram account with BFF's from almost every corner of the entertainment industry. "It's just based on the fact that I can really relate to people who are driven and intelligent. You want to be around, like, smart, exciting people -- I think that's what brings you up."

Fans all know about her best-friendship with Ed Sheeran and 'Modern Family' actress Sarah Hyland. But lately she's posted photos with everyone from supermodel Karlie Kloss to actress Lena Dunham, and even to cooking legend Ina Garten of the 'Barefoot Contessa.'
