Taylor Swift reacted like an excited fan when Keith Urban reached out via social media to compliment her on her latest song, "Lover."

Swift dropped the title song to her upcoming new album on Friday (Aug. 16), and it's a fabulously well-written ballad that borrows from old-school R&B melodies and '60s and '70s production elements to create a gorgeously ambient track. Urban certainly seems to agree, as he turned to Twitter on Saturday (Aug. 17) to write, "Huge shoutout today to @taylorswift13 on the SUPERB new single LOVER. When a song so exquisitely written becomes a record so gorgeously crafted I feel such a deep sense of gratitude for the 'art' of making music."

Swift reacted with astonished joy a couple of hours later, replying, "ARE YOU KIDDING ME THIS IS THE NICEST THING ANYONE HAS EVER SAID - you’re just the best and so kind to say this." She added a crying emoji and a series of others to express what she was feeling.

Swift is releasing Lover on Aug. 23. It's her seventh studio album, and the first she'll be releasing under the auspices of a new deal with Republic Records after a very nasty public split with BMLG.

She released the first single, "ME!," in April. Fans have also heard  "You Need to Calm Down" and "The Archer" from the album.

Friday also saw Swift release the full tracklisting for Lover, which will include a collaboration with the Dixie Chicks titled "Soon You'll Get Better."
