Rascal Flatts have announced a reunion tour that will celebrate their 25 years together, called the Life Is a Highway Tour. It's slated to kick off in early 2025.

Talking to Taste of Country Nights, the members of Rascal Flatts admit that how other bands have done their "comeback" or "reunion" tours have influenced how they'll run theirs.

"I think the Eagles have done a really good job of going through different seasons and coming together for the good of the fans and the good of the music," Jay DeMarcus says.

After the death of Eagles frontman Glenn Frey, country's own Vince Gill joined the band in 2017 to share vocals with Frey's son, which helped get the band back on the road.

Now, the Eagles are in the middle of a residency at Las Vegas' Sphere, where they are mesmerizing fans with a visual presentation in addition to classic songs. DeMarcus says their comeback has helped pave the way for Rascal Flatts.

"That's been really neat to see them navigate those tricky waters. They do it as well as anybody," he notes.

Rascal Flatts have a slew of No. 1 one hits — 13 to be exact — so they'll have their work cut out for them to figure out the best setlist for their upcoming tour.

It should be interesting to watch this tour take shape, as the guys in the band tell ToCN to us that until they announced this tour, they hadn't seen each other in person in 5 years!
