Thomas Rhett, Lauren Akins Go All Black for the 2017 CMA Awards Red Carpet [Pictures]

Thomas Rhett and his wife Lauren Akins were color coordinated at the 2017 CMA Awards. The couple dressed in all black for the red carpet — only her red lipstick stood out from the darkness.

While the couple always dresses to complement one another they usually splash more color into their ensembles. Akins' light skin stood out from a dark blue and silver backdrop. The new parents only stood for a few pictures before moving along the CMA red carpet. Rhett had to hustle as his performance of "Unforgettable" was slated for early in the night.

Rhett is a Male Vocalist of the Year nominee for the 2017 CMA Awards. He recently announced the Life Changes Tour for 2018, with Midland, Carly Pearce and Brett Young opening. Life Changes is the name of the 27-year-old's most recent album. The project features "Unforgettable" as well as his duet with Maren Morris, "Craving You."
