A number of new faces are working to top the first Top 40 Country Songs list of 2014, but January's No. 1 goes to a man who has been there before. 'Drink a Beer' by Luke Bryan is among the highest-charting, best-selling songs in country music right now. It will be a career-type song for a man who could almost make a hits CD full of his powerful ballads.

The Top 40 Country Songs for January 2014 list is loaded with new songs from hit artists like Brantley Gilbert, Blake Shelton and Brad Paisley. Gilbert's 'Bottom's Up' is the highest debuting song -- in fact, no other song made a leap quite like he did. Cole Swindell, Jason Aldean and the Eli Young Band are other artists that made steady gains to crack the Top 10 this time around.

The list of the Top 40 Country Songs for January 2014 is compiled from Billboard chart data and sales figures, in addition to staff opinion and reader feedback.
