Trisha Yearwood is more than just an award-winning country singer; she's also the author of a bestselling cookbook.

The Georgia native recently released her third cookbook, Trisha's Table: My Feel-Good Favorites for a Balanced Life, and it debuted at No. 7 on the New York Times bestsellers list! The cookbook revolves around her desire to lead a healthy, balanced lifestyle. Most of the recipes focus on the lighter aspect of food, but there are a few "splurge" recipes, as well.

"This book [reflects] how we eat more of the time," Yearwood told Dan Rather during an interview earlier this month. "And then, on the comfort foods, there are some things you just can't substitute. You just say, 'I'm havin' the macaroni and cheese today ... and I'm gonna enjoy it.' But the rest of the time, we show you ways to make things lighter."

Trisha's Table includes recipes like dairy-free angel hair pasta with avocado pesto and vegetarian smashed sweet-pea burgers. However, there are also some heartier recipes for foods like Georgia pulled pork, chocolate chip cookie dough balls and chicken tortilla casserole.

"I have adopted an 80/20 rule when it comes to my delicate relationship with food: 80 percent of the time I make good choices; 20 percent of the time I let myself splurge a little," the singer explains. “I think about food all the time, so making peace with eating is a daily battle for me. I won’t say I’ve completely figured it out, but I will say that right now, I win that battle more days than I lose it, and I believe that’s the key.”
