No. 39: Zac Brown Band, ‘Chicken Fried’ – Top 100 Country Songs

Regardless of content and style in comparison to other mainstream country songs, country fans know a good song when they hear one. Zac Brown Band's 'Chicken Fried' was something of an underdog story, as the band wasn't on major label and nobody really knew what to make of them back in 2008.

Song No. 39 on the Top 100 Country Songs list makes the cut for its sincerity and catchy melody, but also for launching the careers of Brown and his bandmates. Sometimes it's good to know that truly skilled musicians will be rewarded, even if (or especially if) they're a little left of center.
