8. He's a dog lover!

Okay, maybe this is a fairly well-known fact about Kenny Chesney. In the early 2010s, Chesney had a goldendoodle named Pancho, reportedly given to him by a friend who "said, ‘Here, Kenny, you have to learn to attach to something!’ God’s honest truth!” Naturally, Chesney fell for the pup.

Years later, after Hurricane Irma devastated the U.S. Virgin Islands, he helped save 1,400 dogs from the area, bringing them to the U.S. to be adopted. His own dog, Cookie, who died just days after the big storm, inspired him to launch the effort, Chesney said at the time.
