2011 CMA Awards Week Kicks Off With Country Tweets

It's CMA Awards week. Country music's biggest night this year is on Wednesday night, Nov. 9., but it's far more than one evening's worth of preparations for artists. There are dress fittings and rehearsals, makeup and travel arrangements. Awards show season is practically another full-time job.

Artists like Blake Shelton and Sugarland are keeping their fans involved in every step of the process via Twitter. More than ever, fans can get behind-the-scenes access to what it takes to look and sound spectacular on the big night. It appears Shelton has found his favorite drink, while Kellie Pickler is having trouble finding the perfect outfit. We like her idea for next year.
